Alternative Medicine For Cancer
Does anyone have an information on apricot seeds being used for cancer?
I know there is info all over the internet but is there anyone out there that used them and was successful or has a loved one that used them? I am looking for alternative medicine for lung cancer.
It doesn’t work, it’s bs, it’s a scam, it’s useless against cancer and it contains cyanide. There are no alternative medicines
OMG waytootiny!! No way! lol I think that’s an ingredient in cat litter…
Ok the human trials of DCA used 5 people with brain cancer. 3 were treated with chemo, 2 were treated with something else. The study didn’t say…hell, it could’ve been vaccine from their dendritic cells. The 3 that were treated with chemo and dca showed progression…The other 2 were newly diagnosed, in addition to other treatments. They showed some regression of tumor. Now, did the other treatment cause regression? Obviously it wasn’t the dca… BTW, the cancer trialled was glioblastoma… Often that cancer will appear to regress or even be gone; then it blows up in your brain and you’re dead within weeks..

Breast Cancer $1.43 This book is a fine resource for every doctor, patient, and family who has to confront the reality of breast cancer. –Bernie S. Siegel, M.D., Author of Love, Medicine, and MiraclesAttitudes about breast cancer diagnosis are changing, and women and their families are becoming more assertive about managing their disease. They know that more choices are available now than ever before, and they are willing to make them. This book encourages you to take control. Cathy Hitchcock and Steve Austin, N.D., have written a book for women who are ready to actively participate in their diagnosis and treatment. A husband and wife team, Hitchcock and Austin walk you step-by-step through each part of diagnosis, treatment (both conventional and alternative), and prevention (including prevention of a recurrence). With the help of a flow chart, they examine different diagnosis options. They also suggest questions to ask your doctor and offer checklists, summaries, and overviews. Interwoven with all this information, Cathy shares her personal story as a breast cancer survivor. She describes her ordeal upon discovering the lump and the transitions she has gone through to live with the diagnosis in a life-affirming way. Unlike many other breast cancer patients, Cathy didn’t simply accept the choices offered by medical doctors. Instead, with the help of her husband, she studied the research and made her own decisions about conventional and alternative treatments. |

Double Vision is a unique combination of memoir and rigorous scholarship. Todd, a medical sociologist who has written extensively about health care delivery, describes Drew’s compelling struggle in strong personal language. At the same time, she also reflects on larger issues of U.S. health care such as social class and accessibility to treatment, conventional medicine’s often intractable power structure, and the effects of globalization on medical knowledge. Invaluable appendices offer practical information on macrobiotic foods and recipes, cookbooks, mail order companies, organizations for nutritional education and referrals, selected readings on mind/body connections and Chinese and holistic medicine, and addresses of stress reduction and Chinese/holistic medicine centers. |

He is warm, humorous, loving, and rich with mindfulness, spiritual light, and hope in these dark days of HIV and AIDS; cancer; heart, artery and sexual diseases; arthritis; gut troubles; depression and exhaustion and unbearable assaults on our immune systems. You will experience three outrageous and amusing Lesser Arcana dramatic productions, learn how to pick your doctor, read stories from Lesser’s life and medical career, see the appropriate place for television and sex, and experience an extraordinary, terrifying, and uplifting dark night of the soul which may not have been equaled since St. John of the Cross wrote 400 years ago! In Healing and Spirit, a well-known physician, teacher, and early author of the wellness movement indignantly describes the spiritual and political crisis of healthcare today; the crisis of so-called modern medicine, with special fury reserved for the accountants who play a derelict role in some HMO denials, who view you as an encumbrance, a cost, as a pain in their equity appreciation. Dr. Gershon Lesser fearlessly exposes the malignancy of government corruption, and of a conspiracy to destroy medical care. Old and new, accepted and controversial, allopathic and alternative, all the richness of multicultural health concepts come together onthese pages, as Complementary Medicine. Dr. Lesser dares to bring God into the healing equation as well. Within this book, you will witness the ignition of thought in yourself, and your own healing power. Healing touch and health-related quality of life in women with breast cancer receiving radiation therapy. $49.99 Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies are increasing in popularity in the United States, as demonstrated by an upsurge in utilization. As early as 1940, the National Institutes of Health identified the need to explore alternative therapies for cancer. Finally, in 1998, the National Cancer Institute developed the Office of Cancer Complementary and Alternative Medicine to promote evaluation of complementary and alternative therapies. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of Healing Touch to improve Health-related Quality of Life (HRQOL) as measured by the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast (FACT-B) among women with early stage breast cancer receiving radiation therapy. Healing Touch is an energy-based intervention that assists in restoring balance to the biofield to facilitate health and healing. The conceptual framework for this study was M-theory, the theory that unites the five String theories. A single-blinded, placebo-controlled randomized design was used. Comparison of the Healing Touch group (n=20) and a placebo group (n=20), in women with early stage breast cancer receiving radiation therapy, demonstrated significant improvement for the women that received Healing Touch in overall HRQOL (p < .038) and the subscale of physical wellbeing (p < .020) over the course of 4-6 weeks of radiation therapy, with a weekly Healing Touch or a placebo treatment. This research builds on previous research in Healing Touch with a breast and gynecologic cancer treatment population and supports previous findings of global improvement in HRQOL. These data underscore the importance of using Healing Touch interventions to improve the HRQOL for women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer (other than skin cancer) and the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women in the United States. A safe, noninvasive modality, Healing Touch can be easily administered by nurses |

This book represents the first collection of research on HSMs. It brings together the study of health and illness with social movement theory in order to establish a basis for the study of health social movements. Contributions cover both health social movements focused on diseases such as Alzheimer’s and breast cancer, and issue-based HSMs such as the pro-choice movement, the movement for complementary and alternative medicine, and movements around stem cell research.
